Devin Haney vows to unleash “the perfect weapon” and “fireworks” against Jose Ramirez in the critical Dazen PPV collision
Devin Haney says he looks forward to introducing him “Full Arsenal” For Josera Mirez over the nine days of May 2nd dazn ppv Tides Square in New York City.
Haney (31-0, 15 Kos) says he’s going “I’ll bring you fireworks.” In a battle with his nemesis Ryan Garcia’s card against former WBC and WBO light welterweight champion Ramirez (29-2, 18 KOs).
The promise of “the perfect arsenal”
Devin sounds like he’s ready to go to war with Ramirez. He’ll have to win. If Haney loses, that’s most important as he doesn’t get a lucrative rematch with Kingli in October. It’s the golden payday that Devin wants, but he may be empty against Ramirez.
“I want to be my best self on May 2nd. That’s what I do. I can’t wait. The world will see how better I’ve become last year,” Devin Haney said. Dozen Boxingdiscusses his return to the ring after a year of layoffs to fight Jose Ramirez on May 2nd.
It’s hard to sit inertly at a Las Vegas mansion and see how Honey improved last year. He is not fighting, but he is simmering his loss to Ryan Garcia in his head. Sitting for 13 months won’t make you feel better.
Some fans believe that Haney chose to sit for a year after losing to Ryan last April because he was worried about losing. Devin would have been expected to compete at least twice last year. His popularity would have plummeted even further if he lost, won or looked poor.
He would have had to fight a good opposition to get the money that he would get used to receiving for his fight. Fighters like Gary Anchanne Russell and Liam Paro would have been offered to Haney.
“I’m about to bring fireworks. I want to show him my full weapon at Jose Ramirez and show him that I’m on top of him. That’s my time. I took a year off. I’ve given myself a rest and healed.
“So many factors become champions and how they lose. How to come back after facing adversity, the way they have, the way they have, the discipline and the dedication to what they are doing. So many factors can become champions.”
Look at Haney’s belt
Haney is right about “the many factors that make you a champion.” Because this is how he won the world title.
– WBC 135- Promoted to champion outside the ring (email)
– WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and Ring Lightweight Titles – George Cambosos JR
– WBC Light Welterweight – Regis Programis
Haney won the world titles from Kambosos and Regis Programis. The reason for this is the world champion. Choosing the right/vulnerable champion was the most important factor in Devin’s career. Because he has never captured the belt by defeating the murderer at 135 or 140.
If Haney loses to Ramirez, it will be interesting to see what Turki Aralsiv has for him. He can fight the losers of the May 2nd battle between Theofimo Lopez and Arnold Barboza Jr. If Barboza Jr. is a match, it’s questionable whether Devin would agree.
That would be a very tough battle for Haney. The loss to Ramirez and Barboza Jr. will destroy Dev, former two-division world champion. If Turki was still interested in watching the Garcia Honey fight, it could still happen, but under terrible conditions.
