DHS defends executive actions in a video of arresting a viral Santa Ana landscape gardener

A video that appears to be working on CBP officials after a Santa Ana landscaper panics and shaking the weed whacker has turned into a virus.
The immigration enforcement officer in the video can be seen working on and appearing to attack Narcisso Baranco, the husband and father of three sons US Marineshe was working on his landscaping work outside of Edinger and Richie’s IHOP in Santa Ana, California.
The video is furious as questions have been raised about alleged use of force by agents.
Santa Ana Mayor Valerie Amezkaa posted a video of her reaction on Instagram after seeing what she described as a “terrifying video.”
“Now this gentleman is arrested by an ice agent. All I have to say to you is that he is deeply angry at the way we treat our community. The way they treat our community.

Ministry of Homeland Security The media accused the incident of being wrong, writing to X that the man was trying to escape law enforcement, and allegedly began shaking the weed whacker directly into the face of a border patrol agent.

“He attacked federal law enforcement with weed robbers. Perhaps the mainstream media wants our officers to stand there and be reaped, rather than protecting themselves?
In a statement on FOX 11, DHS Deputy Director Tricia McLaughlin claims they have taken appropriate steps.
“Agents will take appropriate action, follow training and use the minimum force necessary to resolve the situation in a way that prioritizes the safety of the public and executives,” the statement read.

but, Immigration Council Senior Aaron Reichlin-Melnick’s companion said he disagreed with what the video appears to be portraying.
“This video shows him vaguely shaking the weed whacker to someone out of his reach.
Founded by Jacqueline Vasquez, GofundMe says the way immigration officials handled the Ballanco is “unsavory.”

According to the page, Baranco had been there for more than 24 hours without a doctor’s appointment and was still wearing bloody clothes, which he was still in custody. He also states that he is on cell phones of about 70 people and receives water only once a day.
