Disney marks 70 years of honoring the military at its daily flag retreat ceremony

In honor of America’s 249th Independence Day, Disneyland is 1st Marine Division Band, We will perform at the flag retreat ceremony on July 4th. This is followed by additional performances leading up to “Disney Celebrity America! – Concert in the Sky on July 4th.” Magic Kingdom will also be holding a concert in the sky.

As America approaches its 250th birthday, Disney pays tribute to the longstanding support of its American service members.
The company has already held several events this year to honor veterans. Most notably, Disney World celebrates the 250th anniversary of the US Army in June and a surprise Disneyland trip with 100 US Navy sailors and Marines in May. moreover, Disney World It has announced an extension of the art exhibit featuring a portrait of a veteran painted by former President George W. Bush.

“Since its founding, Disney has been dedicated to the ideals and dreams that created America. It’s a place where heroes work and veterans are celebrated,” the company wrote in the caption of a video celebrating its commitment to supporting American service members on its YouTube channel.
The Walt Disney Company’s affinity for the US military is rooted in its establishment as both Disney brothers Walt and Roy served in World War I. According to the company’s website, Walt drove an ambulance for the Red Cross Ambulance Corps, and Roy served as officer Petty in the Navy.
