In a statement sent to CNET, Apple challenged the claims, saying the Apple Watch is “designed to be safe and reliable.”
“The settlement applies to original Apple Watch, Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3 buyers, which are no longer available to purchase,” the company said in a statement. “I strongly oppose the claims made against these early-generation Apple Watch models, but I agreed to settle them to avoid further litigation.”

To qualify for coverage, you must own the original Series 1, Series 2, Series 2, Series 2, and Series 3 Apple Watch models, including filing a complaint with Customer Service from April 24, 2015 to February 6, 2024.
