After a nasty collision during the four innings of Baltimore Orioles A 5-4 victory over the New York Yankees on Wednesday brought their temper into fire and the bench was cleared.
Orioles outfielder Heston Kjerstad stole 2 bases. Yankees’ two base Pablo Reyes landed in the head and neck area of Kujaltad after attempting to enclose catcher Austin Wells’ error throw.
Kjerstad stood up and aired his frustration towards Reyes. The referee entered between Reyes and Kyaastud and Yankees starting pitcher Carlos Carastko got off the mound and hust towards Kyaastud.

“Some of the words there felt like I had disrespected me in the heat of the moment,” Reyes said through a post-match translator. “Later, he felt a little nervous.”
“Maybe he thought I did it on purpose at the beginning,” Reyes said. “But obviously he couldn’t see how slow or the play really developed.”
The Orioles won the series as they won the game and won two of their three games from the Yankees. The series victory with the Yankees was just the second series victory of the season as the Orioles were brawling to start the season.

Orioles (12-18) will play Kansas City Royals (16-15) After a Thursday holiday, 7:05pm ET on Friday at 7:05pm.
The Yankees (18-13) will also be closed on Thursday, and the next game will be Tampa Bay Rays (14-16) Friday at 7:05pm Eastern Friday
