Catterall’s Next: Welterweight Gold
“Jack is now looking for a big fight at 147. He is expected to rank in the top 10 in both governing bodies (welterweight IBF and WBA). There are a huge fighter jet in this category right now,” Eddie Hearn said. IFL TVtalks about Jack Qatar’s victory over Harlem Eubank.
Hearn would be hoping to fight Devin Haney or Ryan Garcia against Jack Cantal. Neither of these fighters want to fight what some fans are seeing, so it won’t happen unless Turki Alalshikh is involved.Shakur, England. ” Catterall’s hit, move, and hold style is not interesting for fighters and fans. Turki must forget to pour money into a fight in 147, including a Catalore with a few popular fighters.
Hahn’s welterweight strategy
Catterall has only fought one Welterweight against Eubank JR. He did nothing to deserve a world title shot against any champion in the division.
“Obviously, Paddy Donovan against Lewis Crocker is coming to that (IBF) World Championship spot, with the boots likely rising and vacant. The winner of that fight will be looking for a big fight.
It’s hard to believe that the winner of Donovan vs. Crocker Rematch will become the new IBF Welterweight champion. None of these fighters beat any notable candidates in their careers. Hearn targets the winner of that fight as it’s not enough to beat WBO champion Brian Norman Jr. or move in the direction of the WBA belt that Roland “Rolly” Romero has.
“And (Bakhram) Giyasov was supposed to fight the boots for the (WBA) Super Championship. Jack would go out for a while for that bad cut, but then it would be our job to try a big fight,” Hearn said.
Hearn is moving Catterall away from undefeated #1 rank WBA contender Bakhram Giyasov as it will be bad news for Jack. If he has too many talents, he bumps into him too hard. Hahn maintains Catalore on his path to fighting the Crockard Novan winner in the IBF belt. That’s easy to win, at least for Jack.
