Egg prices have fallen 61% since January, falling $2.52 per dozen after peaking in March

Egg prices have only exceeded 61% since President Donald Trump took office in January after a record high in March.
Latest data from the USDA (USDA) shows that large, white shelled eggs are currently at $2.52 per dozen nationwide. According to the data website, the same egg carton would have run Americans about $6.49 on January 21st. Trade Economics.
Trade Economics shows that eggs were over $8 per dozen in the first week of March.
“Demand for shell eggs recorded slight improvements towards Memorial Day weekend, but was well below average with a continuation of trends that began during the sharp price rise at the end of winter.” USDA Egg Market Summary Weekly Publications stated.

Egg prices projected to exceed 40% in 2025: USDA

USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Testing Service (APHIS) has confirmed that the outbreak continues today.
“To date, USDA Aphis has confirmed 43 outbreaks of herds in 10 states (AZ, CA, IA, IN, IN, NC, OH, PA, SD and WA),” the egg market overview states.
