Eng vs Ind (Watch): Mohammed Siraj blows fire on stunning to dismiss Joe Root and Ben Stokes | Edgebaston Test, Day 3
India Couldn’t script a better start to the third day Mohamed Shiraji It broke in my heart EngranD bats during the first session of the morning. With England reopening on 66/3, Shiraj rejected two of the most experienced batters. Joe Root and Ben Stokesconsecutive delivery to reduce hosts to 84/5. Shiraj’s raw pace, seams and relentless aggression opened the gates wider for India, which already claimed bat domination.
When England began to collapse, Joe Root was reverted to the original by Mohamed Syraj and Sharp Glovework.
Root’s firing early on the third day was the first dent that Shiraj made in the UK’s fragile hopes. Bowling often with set plans, Shiraji angled the ball to the root body at an active pace, seducing the right-handed man with his gaze on his feet. Length and speed suggested opportunities for scoring, but Syraj skillfully guaranteed slow movements. Route, I tried to make it work well, and misinterpreted the angle as the ball straightened slightly after pitching.
The contact was faint, with a delicate brush from the handles of gloves and bats. but, Rishab pantsas ever, I moved sharply to the left and stuffed it low. The charm was instantaneous, and the judge did not hesitate to lift his fingers. Root glanced behind him, but soon accepted his fate. The reviews didn’t continue. This wicket is huge and not just to remove England’s best batsman, but to do so with clever executions. Siraj streaming was not playable and flashy, but its accuracy was undoubtedly excluding Root’s reliable technique. The Indians celebrated with purpose and were fully aware of the psychological blows they dealt with. England was now wobbling at 84/4, staring closely at the crisis.

Ben Stokes is stunned by an in-playable noter when Syraj ignits
Root dismissed the previous ball, putting pressure on England’s captain Stokes, but Syraj didn’t allow him any breathing space. The next delivery was a brutal short ball, slamming it right behind the length and rising sharply from the surface. Stokes instinctively raised his bat to dodge it, getting caught up in two minds between ducking and defense. Delivery climbed faster than expected, deviating enough to clip the shoulder of the bat. When Edge flew back, Pants made no mistake and safely completed the catch above chest height.
Taking a surprise and beaten by the ball’s hostility, Stokes could only return for the golden duck. Silazi, pumped and roared, was wrapped in his teammates, so he insisted on two wickets with two balls, crippling England’s top order. The setup was stunning. He feeds Stokes with aggressive intentions right after a fall on the route. There was no time to resolve it or any room for errors. This delivery was a statement and India was here to not only compete but dominate. With Stokes gone, England was sluggish at 84/5, with Shiraj firmly lit by the fuse under Edbaston’s powder barrel.
