England is “irritated” to learn his style ahead of the 2026 World Cup

Thomas Tuschel says his English side is prone to panic about learning their path ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Germany’s third match was a 1-0 win over Andorra, maintaining a perfect start to the Three Lions World Cup qualifying, but it was an overwhelming performance.

With three major tournaments under Gareth Southgate coming in so close, there’s been added predictions and pressure to eventually win Silverware under Chuchel, turning to competition in the US next summer.

However, there is clearly a lot to do for the former Chelsea and Bayern Munich bosses.

Advances on Tuesday’s friendship with Senegal, he said: “I get very nervous. This isn’t always a good thing. I get always panicking. After a seasonal battle over the title, the Champions are making a place.

“But personally, if you step into a good statium, look at the grass and look at the 7,000 supporters. I’m hoping for something from myself and the players.

“It’s about watching tomorrow. I’m panicking. I want to be better. We’re thinking about giving players a little more freedom within the structure. I think it was still a very offensive structure and lineup to break the defense.

“Tomorrow we will face a strong, physically tough team, which may not be that aggressive at first, but gives players the freedom to express themselves. We will be able to see the next step on Tuesday.”

Tuchel was quized at the start of his life, in charge of the national team, and admitted that he prefers a more prolific opening.

He added: “I’m not sure. I think I preferred the other way, but in the end I held three clean sheets and won three matches (in charge of his first three games).

“There’s no reason to just look at the negative aspects of things. After the game, we were critical, so maybe it’s a good thing to improve.

“At this point, it’s learning. Today is the same as a week and a half of club football, and the same as the 11th training session.

“We need to worship every minute of training and games. Of course, we learn things. It’s good to see players in tough situations or moments when things aren’t easy.”

Demand and intense

Arsenal star Bukayosaka was sitting with Chuchel for a pre-match press mission, and he grinned in his face after being asked if he was heading for a holiday after Tuesday’s match.

The winger will not take part in the Club World Cup and can relax instead, but not before he can run for the Three Lions.

At Tuchel and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, he added:

“So if I just talk about Thomas himself, I’m here to camp, he’s very demanding, very hard, off the pitch and the pitch, he’s more relaxed.

“He’s a nice guy. He’s enjoyed us and created a lovely environment for all players to enjoy.”
