If Spence wants to show his fans that he hasn’t washed, he’s allowed to spend two years since losing to Crawford, so he needs to do that. For some reason, Errol has to just not fight, and he has to think that his confidence is being shot. Even if he hasn’t been physically shot, he has been mentally given up, which is equivalent to the fighter being washed.
