SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Libian is beginning to sell delivery vans to fleets of all sizes in the US, saying the electric car maker has more than a year since it closed its exclusive deal with shareholder Amazon. I did.

Known for its flagship R1S SUV and R1T pickup truck, Libian is in demand beyond Amazon for commercial vans, testing it in a large fleet.

Van Sales is crucial to Rivian’s success as it was eased amid wider demand for EVS, along with plans to deploy small, inexpensive R2 SUVs in 2026.

“Livian is preparing a mass market fleet management process by testing commercial vans in the United States with several large fleets,” the company said in a statement. “These pilots paved the way for Libian to open more sales.”

Libian ended its Van Sales exclusive agreement with Amazon in late 2023, but reaffirmed its commitment to fulfilling 100,000 van orders by 2030. Currently, Amazon has 20,000 Libyan vans in its fleet.

After the exclusive end, US wireless carrier AT&T was the first company to buy several vans from Rivian in its pilot program. They did not disclose the number of vehicles purchased or the financial terms.

Libian’s announcement on Monday comes months after it resolved a component shortage that prevented van production and SUVs and pickups.

Last month, the company exceeded analysts’ expectations for fourth quarter delivery. We are reducing costs by renegotiating supplier contracts and revamping the manufacturing process to change gross profits for the fourth quarter.

Libian is expected to report its fourth quarter results on February 20th.
