Exclusive: Marcus Rashford was “as much a victim as the cause” during his struggle at Manchester United

According to Stan Colliemore, Marcus Rashford was “as much a victim as the cause” during his struggle at Manchester United.

Rashford joined Aston Villa in January until the end of the season, with the option of making the West Midlands Club permanent for £40 million in the summer.

It ended the unfortunate spell at Old Trafford for England International, which was frozen under new boss Reuben Amorim.

Rashford has gone through the United ranks, earning 426 contestants and scoring 138 goals, but has faced criticism for the past 18 months due to lack of enthusiasm.

Colliemore is stubborn, but the 27-year-old shouldn’t be held too much of a responsibility.

Childhood fans have become superstars

The former villa striker spoke through 101 amazing goals William Hilvegas: “You can be somewhere for too long. He was there since childhood (united). That’s all he knows.

“It coincides with a generational shift from human UTDs to being with dead men in the Premier League, as they are at the top of the perch.

“It’s not Marcus Rashford’s fault. There were a lot of poor players who went through the doors of Old Trafford, and some managers who weren’t suitable. He was as much a victim as the cause.”

Rashford had a second villa over the weekend, first in the Premier League, replacing Jaco Blamsey with Ipswich at halftime, making an immediate impact.

He looked dangerous to the left, playing a pivotal role in the equalizer, allowing Ollie Watkins to tap on the rebound on a free kick back from the woodwork.

Rashford is worth the punt – Colliemore

It was like a cameo to believe Colliemore was showing that villa boss Unai Emery was right to get a chance at Rashford.

He added: Say that’s it to me and make him a better player.

“Many times, the manager who develops the player, and you can put emery in that bracket. They like weird gambling, weird risks.

“He has 20 games to help put a smile on Marcus’s face. The Villa media team has done everything they can to try and get Marcus with a smile in training.

“He’s judged on his output. I don’t care if he smiles or if he’s ruthless.) And then we’ll go further into the Champions League.”

Rashford may have host Premier League leader Liverpool getting their first start to the villa tomorrow night.
