Falcons running back discusses sharing time in the backfield and praises how Kirk Cousins handled the bench
It may not be unusual for two teammates who play the same position to secretly take root with each other. But that’s not what’s happening Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier.
Allgeier ran over 1,000 yards in his 2022 rookie season, but only a few months after his first campaign was over, Atlanta Falcons Robinson was selected as the eighth overall selection in the NFL Draft.
With Robinson being a Texas star, writing was on the wall to complement Robinson.
But that was fine for him. Off the field, they are “best friends,” Robinson said.

“I feel like a cool work environment, but it’s off the field too, so it brings us even closer. So that work environment is simple. It’s not forced. Allgeier is a Bijan Being a boy is very natural and wonderful.
“Out of the field, we became our best friends,” added Robinson. “This is my brother. I can count on him everything. What we’re doing here together is that is everything you can ask for.”
Naturally, they partnered with Bounty to become each other’s wingmen ahead of the Super Bowl.
“You can’t play soccer without wings. You can’t have wings without prizes. That’s the main thing. But is my wingman here? I can’t get any better.” Allgeier said.
“I think our relationship is like grace and wings. It’s literally the same thing. You can’t have one thing without the other,” added Robinson. “For me, this is one of the best running backs in the league, and his title has no backup at all.
“To share the field with him and when I get tired, he comes in and when he gets tired, I come in. We have a coach who can maximize his abilities.”
Just like running backs, when the Falcons were similar just a few months after signing Kirk Cousinsdrafted Michael Penix with the eighth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Penix ultimately did his cousin’s job, but there was nothing bothering between the two, Buck said.

“It was good to see Kirk handle it the right way. He never wavered. “He’s right to do the job. He’s on the verge of helping Mike become the person he wants to be. And with Mike, he was very selfless and wanted to connect with all of us as an offensive player.
“I never had love/hate, or hatred, or hatred, or relationship, or anything. It was just support. And when you really got a guy you could learn under the vet for the whole season, he “It’s more comfortable and more prepared, we love having both of them than he has to start being a rookie quarterback soon.”
“I spent the same time with Kirk, and added that I especially have Kirk as a role model, and I just throw it away.
