Famous Home Depos Kelly finds its voice on a new Halloween app
Don’t make bones about it: Skelly goes high tech. Home Depot’s popular 12-foot-high skeleton decorations are back for this Halloween Includes app This allows the new Ultra Skelly to give voice and new movements to scare the trick-or-treater.
The new animatronic version is shorter than the 6.5-foot-high original, but you can surprise the entire neighborhood with this skeleton’s spinning upper torso, moving mouth and 18 LCD eye variations (EW). And now, Skelly can chat with visitors through five preset recordings and custom recordings of up to 30 seconds, as well as Bluetooth functionality that allows you to interact in real time. And you can modulate your voice to make everything sound even more eerie.
Skelly was originally launched in 2020, forcing the pandemic to celebrate Halloween in the distance. Perhaps because of its huge height – it can be easily found even through social distancing – the skeleton has been a hit, upgraded and has been revived every year since friend. This year, these friends include dragons, trolls, scarecrows and skelly cats (don’t be confused with stinky cats).
Starting August 4th, you can order Skelly and Co on the Home Depot website or app for $279.
