Fast food chain Roy Rogers opens a new location in New Jersey

The company, named after the legendary actor and singer, King of the Cowboys, opened its location in Cherry Hill, New Jersey last week, marking the chain’s return to southern New Jersey and Philadelphia markets since the 1990s.
“We are excited to make this long-standing return. Cherry Hill serves a growing and diverse community and enables Loi Rogers to showcase the quality and diversity that will make the cut above,” Jim Plamondon, co-chairman of Loi Rogers Restaurant, said in a statement.
The company thanked Cherry Hill on Instagram for “the best welcome to the community,” following the opening, suggesting there is “more to come.”
Roy Rogers product launches aim to expand the brand
The Maryland-based chain was founded in 1968. In 1990, Marriott sold the Roy Rogers chain, which has nearly 650 locations, to Hardy for $365 million.

Peter Plamondon Sr., a former Marriott executive who became a franchisee for Roy Rogers’ restaurant, sold the franchise to his son Pete Jr. and Jim in the late 1990s.
By 2002, the brothers had purchased the Roy Rogers brand from Hardy’s parent company, CKE Restaurant. The duo is believed to have supported the opening It operates multiple Roy Rogers restaurants.
