Clark generally dismissed the idea that she was zero despite other WNBA players protesting about the lack of a call from a judge in favor of enthusiastic security guards. Last season, she suggested she was faced with an extraordinary level of physicality from her enemies.
“I think everyone is physical with me. They are probably running away because others aren’t running away,” Clark said in 2024, according to the Associated Press. “It’s difficult, but that’s the problem.
Clark added that the physical style of play is part of the competition.
“This is a very physical game and you’re going to be under pressure. This is professional basketball. That’s honestly true,” she said.
Earlier this month, Clark’s fellow WNBA player voted for her as the league’s ninth guard. Clark has played just 13 games this season due to multiple injuries. She averages 16.5 points per contest, a few below the average for 2025.
