Filip Hrgovic’s Redeeming: Can he overcome the stamina problem against David Adeleye?

Philip Hilgovich says his amateur and professional experience will prove too much for British heavyweight David Adeley in the 10th round fight on August 16th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

When it comes to stamina, there are many question marks about hrgovic. He gasped both in his final two fights with Joe Joyce and Daniel Dubois. That issue is still there on August 16th.

It’s a fight where 33-year-old Hrgovic has to prove he can beat this fringe-level heavyweight. This is someone who should be able to lose without any problems at the top heavyweight division. On paper, Adeley lacks the skills and pedigree needed to compete with Hrgovic, unless he lost something from his game after the defeat he was knocked out by Daniel Dubois in June 2024.

Hrgovic-Adeleye fights on August 16th with the undercard of Moses Wetama vs Dillian White. This event will be shown live for $49.99 on Dazn PPV. This battle is one of the more interesting battles on the card and could prove to be more exciting than the main event.

Adeleye (14-1, 13 KOS) is thrown into a major step-up from London at 2016 Olympic bronze medalist HRGOVIC (18-1, 14 KO). He has already failed once and was knocked out by Fabio Wardley in 2023.

It’s a bad sign that Hrgovic was forced to travel 10 rounds to beat 39-year-old Joe Joyce last April. It should have been an easy victory for hrgovic, but his strength wasn’t good enough to dent Joyce’s chin.

“You can’t underestimate anyone. I’m really training hard. I’m sure I’ll beat him. I’ve ruined it against DuBois,” Philip said. “I looked really bad. I think I’m one of the best fighters out there, and I put all my life into boxing.”

The last thing Hrgovic can buy is to overlook Adeleye, as this guy can punch him. He’s not technically great, but he has the power that could become a problem for HRGOVIC if the fight goes into the second half.

“20 years of boxing, and of course, I have a huge desire to be a world champion. After that loss, this is my second attempt. Hopefully, this is my own.
