College basketball Star Tahard Pettyford was imprisoned in Alabama on Saturday morning, prison records showed.

Auburn basketball According to ESPN, the guard was eventually released from custody on the same day. As of Saturday afternoon, Pettiford’s name was not on the prison log prisoner list.

“We know this situation. We’ll deal with it internally with Tahaha and his family,” Pearl said. Statement to ESPN. “We take these issues seriously and then learn and grow from moving forward.”

“We were happy to get feedback from the NBA team and go through this process,” Pettiford told ESPN shortly after he pulled out of the draft.

“Bringing back to Auburn is a better situation for me. I think I’ll be a higher pick next year. I wasn’t 100% this year so I didn’t want to take that chance.”

Pettiford was a key part of the Tiger steam team that won the overall seed at this year’s NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament. Auburn’s March crazy run ended when they went through a 79-73 defeat to SEC rival Florida Final Four.

Pettiford averaged 15.2 points per game during the NCAA tournament.

He is considered the next chapter in the program’s next Bedrock Player after Johnny Bloom, a 2024-25 SEC player, jumped to the NBA. Philadelphia 76ers Bloom was selected in the second round of last month’s draft.
