Florida has executed more executions this year than any other state, with Texas and South Carolina tied second with four each.

Across the United States, 27 men have died so far this year, while nine others are scheduled to be executed in seven states a year. Florida was also the last state where Michael Bernard Bell was killed on July 15th and executed someone.
