Floyd Schofield is currently competitor of WBA #1 Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis

Floydscofield has been promoted to No. 1 in Lightweight in the new WBA update rankings and is a top contender for the Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis’ title. Now it’s only a matter of time before Tank is forced or stripped away from Schofield (19-0, 13 KOs).

Since picking up that belt in December 2019, Tank Davis, who chooses to defend the WBA title against Schofield, has many doubts about Tank Davis choosing to defend the WBA title against Schofield as he has been very strategic about the opponent he has chosen to fight.

Schofield’s rise to #1

The first round knockout of Tevin Farmer in Scofield, held last Saturday night in Anaheim, California, clearly took part in moving to number one in the WBA lightweight rankings. He wiped out the former IBF super featherweight champion farmer and knocked him down twice in the first round.

Davis vs. Scofield: Does that happen?

Schofield Sr. should not get much hope for Tank Davis to fight his son. He chose Lamont Roach from the 130 pound division. The two will have a rematch in August. Even if Tank loses his rematch and his WBA belt, there will probably be a trilogy. If he has the option to fight tanks again, Roach doesn’t want to fight Scofield.

“So you’re not told on Twitter or anything really important. Send a contract. We know we want to fight Y’all,” Schofield AR said. “I told everyone that. I know my boy will stop you. I’m not talking about *** from this victory. It’s competitive. I know you’ve gained strength.”

Schofield’s knockout victory actually hurt his lawsuit in order to get a fight with Tank and WBC Champion Shakur Stevenson. Neither of these fighters want to risk fighting Scofield right now. Their promoters don’t want to fight that either.
