Forced Engagement: Shakur Stevenson’s hit and run tactic Zepeda, who challenged the 18-foot ring vs.

The July 12 change to the 18-foot ring on the card has doubts among fans whether Shakur Stevenson has enough space to escape William Zepeda’s more than 100 punches per round volume in the joint specialization battle.

There’s no escape for Shakur

Shakur promoter Eddie Hearn can’t surprise you with the switch from a standard 20-foot ring to a smaller 18 x 18 ring. He signed him in the hopes of landing a Mega-Money Fight with Gervonta Davis.

Hearn matches Stephenson and Josh Padry in their first battle with Matchroom, ensuring he remains on the path to tank battles. With a small ring against a punching machine like Zepeda, Shakur is thrown into the wild. He is not made for the fight Zepeda brings.

The WBC Lightweight Champion Shakur (23-0, 11 Kos) is in top form in the 20-foot ring, and can use hit-and-run tactics to avoid pressure from the opponent. In the small 18 x 18 ring, you are forced to be more involved with Shakur and avoid his usual Tom and Jerry-type fight.

Zepeda is excellent at cutting rings, but his chances are hit by a mover like Stevenson in the 20-foot ring. We saw how Edwin de los Santos was diving to escape the pressure placed on him.

Turki’s Entertainment Goals

Turki Alalshikh hopes for a fight on July 12th dazn ppv A card that will make you interesting. Move it into a small ring and have a runner like Shakur rise up to fight Zepeda (33-0, 27 Kos). In the limited space of the 18-foot ring, Stephenson will have no choice but to trade further for a Mexican knockout artist.

It was like a rocket launched into space, the way he was leaping out of situations when he was trapped. It was no surprise that the crowd booed him all night for his boring performance.

Zepeda doubts Shakur’s “ball”

Zepeda doubts Shakur will trade for him the way Tevin Farmer did in two fights, saying he doesn’t have a “ball” to fight aggressively. Even Farmer had lots of movements and hugs to avoid being knocked out by Zepeda. The second fight was held almost entirely in motion.

The 16-foot ring was even better for the July 12th event. This is to force Shakur to trade more for Zepeda and give the fans a more interesting fight. Even the 18 footer may still have enough space to become a boring fight for the fans.
