Former Israeli hostage reveals that Hamas prisoners feared Trump and wanted Harris to win
The former Israeli hostage told CNN in an interview Wednesday that his Hamas prisoners wanted former Vice President Kamala Harris to win the 2024 election, while terrorists wanted the president to be “very scary.” Donald Trump Return to the office.
Omer Shem Tov, 22, was released in February after spending 505 days in confinement in Gaza. He was captured in a fatal attack on October 7, 2023. Terrorist attacks at the Nova Music Festival Southern Israel.
TOV spoke about his experiences and how the 2024 US election played a role in how he was treated by Hamas New Interview On CNN.
“They were very scared of him,” Tov said of his views on Trump as his prisoners. “They wanted Kamala to be elected.”

“But as soon as Donald Trump was elected, they knew they wanted to bring us home, so quickly the way they treated me changed,” he continued. “When Trump became president, the way they treated us changed personally for me.”
“Is it because they expected the deal to come soon?” asked CNN’s Bianna Golodryga.
“Yes,” replied Tov.
“Is that when they start to give you more food?” she continued.
“Exactly,” confirmed Tov. “More food, started treating me better. Stop cursing me. Stop spitting me out.”
Kamala Harris’ office did not reply to requests for comment.

In March, TOV visited the White House with other recently released hostages, believing that the president would save him by believing that he was “sent by God.”
TOV has been praised by Trump for securing his release in an interview with CNN.
“He took me out, took me hostages. Previously, it felt like nothing had happened,” he told Gorodriga.
A clip of the interview took place on Wednesday’s “Inside Politics,” with anchor Dana Bash saying it seemed “trying to embarrass” Tov as he believed the terrorists would be released under Trump’s leadership.

There are still 58 hostages in Gaza, 23 of which are rated alive.
