Former MSNBC host Chris Matthews praised the president Donald Trump In a conversation with Charlie Rose on Saturday, he suggests the president has a strong cultural connection with the country.

“He’s very good at knowing your condition, your worries, your anxiety. So he’ll be a great bully in elementary school, Catholic high school or primary school. So he knows everyone’s weaknesses, so he’s really good now, he’s really good. Matto said to Rose. “Biden couldn’t do it for a million years instead of a million years. Mondale couldn’t do it. They don’t have a cultural connection to electricity for what’s going on in the country, and he knows what works.”

Matthews, the former host of MSNBC’s “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” spoke to Rose on the show “A Charlie Rose Global Conversation.”

Rose began his argument by asking Matthews how he would rate the president as a politician.

Trump critics acknowledge that the president has put together a working class coalition that is better than any Democrat.

“We know this moment because the president never became instantly spontaneous. If he said this at 4pm today, he would say, ‘That’s not true anymore.’ He once spoke with him about “Zoolander 1” and “Zoolander 1.”

Former MSNBC host Trump said he knew how to put Jeb Bush and some of his GOP enemies.

Matthews also claimed that Trump is a strong public figure.

“He’s still greater than his democratic strength,” he told Rose. “He is a stronger public figure than the democratic people. That is, Obama He still has incredible charisma, but Trump has power. And I think that’s what every voter wants. They want a strong person, a president. And he has it. It’s just there. And half of the country buys it. ”

He also said he doesn’t believe in the polls that showed Trump’s popularity would slip.

“To be honest with you, the country is heading for Trump!” Matthews told Rose. “These polls, they’re coming out and showing him that he’s not going well, I don’t buy it.”

Matthews offered Trump political praise earlier this year for his efforts against elite institutions.

“We have to say that the administration sometimes sets its targets in the right direction. The elite universities in this country are not exactly covered with roses so far, in the way they handle these demonstrations.” Matthews said During MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” in April.

Matthews lamented that protests against the Israel-Hamas War last year prevented students from going to classes, saying that all students (whether they are Jews or not) are entitled to attend classes they pay at universities like Harvard.

“And the fact that they had to be told to do this, they had to be told to let their students go to school.
