Former server sues NYC polobar over cocaine use, sexual harassment

Nobiretti accused both Bar’s event manager Michael Lewis and its international hospitality director Darnell Dodson of inappropriate touching at different times.
The lawsuit alleges that Dodson is known to only hire attractive men in the hopes of having “sexual relationships with them,” even if they have no experience. Nobiretti added that male employees who had sexual relations with him would “have priority treatment.”
Employees are also said to have played a “rating game” that judges female customers attractively.
“The male server frequently made offensive, graphic sexual comments about female customers,” the lawsuit alleges.

Nobiretti claims he was fired last year after complaining with HR about him “facing terrible sexual harassment.”
The supervisor told him “Since Polobar opened in 2015, it has been “ends due to drinking at work.” Management and staff regularly drank alcohol and used illegal drugs during work hours that had little effect on such behavior,” he said.
“The restaurant and its hardworking staff do everything they can to ensure that guests have a first-class experience, but the defendant was unable to fully assure that the employees have a safe and legal work environment,” he said in the filing.
