Former Yankees star Alex Alex Rodriguez scores a big score on NBA team purchases


Sale of NBA Minnesota Timberwolves And WNBA’s Minnesota Links for the group led by former MLB star Alex Rodriguez and e-commerce entrepreneur Mark Roar have received unanimous approval from the NBA board, the league announced Tuesday.

Rodriguez and Roa are familiar with the Timberwolves as they previously acquired minority shareholders in the NBA franchise. The sale is estimated to close in the next few days with an estimated $1.5 billion. ESPN reported.

“The NBA Governor’s Committee unanimously approved the sale of WNBA’s Minnesota Links control from the Minnesota Timberwolves and Glen Taylor to Mark Roa and Alex Rodriguez.” The NBA wrote in a statement It was released on Tuesday.
