George Groves: Terrence Crawford’s “Tall Order” to defeat Canelo Alvarez in the Super Middleweight division at a disadvantage in size

Given the benefits of Canelo’s natural size, George Groves believes it will be a “tall order” for small fighter Terence Crawford to defeat Canelo Alvarez in the September 13th super middleweight division.

Crawford’s 168 pound jump

The former WBA 168 pound champion glove likes Crawford’s skills, but he thinks it’s a lot for him to overcome 154 pounds rising to challenge 154 pounds (63-2-2, 39 KOs) for the uncontroversial championship on Netflix at Allegianto Stadium in Las Vegas.

Crawford thinks he can overcome Canelo’s size, but that would be difficult.

There are also age concerns. Crawford is 37, not his prime year, and he has slowed down. He is now forced to slug with more enemies than he went from 2008 to 2013.

The Battle of Madrimov showed Crawford’s limits

We witnessed that the bud of punishment was forced to endure in his final battle, reaching 154 against “Little GGG” Isler Madrimov. Crawford hit more fights than he had in his career before and then looked like a loser. Interestingly, Terence still refuses to admit that he met his match in that fight. He doesn’t want to stand up to the truth.

Going from that fight to two divisions to fight Canelo is a near impossible task for Crawford. If he wants to win seriously, he is put behind eight balls by not making a tune-up at 168 and skipping 160 sitting out of the ring for a year’s waste.

Finance heads Crawford to Canelo

Many wise fans believe Crawford’s pursuit of the Battle of Canelo is only for financial reasons, aiming to secure a massive $50 million payday that will allow him to live a luxurious life when he retires to the vast palace of Omaha, Nebraska.

Crawford’s Tall Order vs Canelo

“It’s going to be tough for a little guy (Crawford). I think size definitely plays a big role in playing this. Things can happen, but it’s a tall order that Crawford beat Canelo in the super middleweight division.” YouTube The channel gives a brief thought on the September 13th Canelo vs Crawford matchup.

The claim that Turki Aralsif wants to fight more in combat, Crawford is placed in a position where he needs to slug along with him and defeat Canelo in his own game. It would be difficult when Crawford didn’t empower him to travel to 154, and he sat inertly for a year, losing his muscles, waiting for that payday against Canelo.
