Former accomplice and girlfriend Jeffrey Epstein Fox News is about to delay her deposit before the House Oversight Committee.

In a letter to Chair James Comer, Maxwell’s lawyers set three conditions that rely on clients who agree to testify before Congress.

The letter asks Comer to grant Maxwell’s formal immunity prior to his interview with the committee, pointing to both legal and security risks arising from revealing new details about Epstein.

“The possibility of leaks from such a configuration creates real security risks and undermines the integrity of the process,” the letter said.

Additionally, Maxwell’s legal team has asked Comer to provide them with the questions the committee intended to ask in advance, claiming that “the process cannot be a cat and mouse game.”

The third request outlined in the letter asks Comer to schedule a Congressional deposit until the rules regarding Maxwell’s latest bids on appeal and her habeas corps are resolved.

On Monday, Maxwell’s legal team filed a filing asking the Supreme Court to hear her appeal against the 2021 sex trafficking conviction. Her lawyers argue that the federal government is “obligated to respect” the 2007 non-predictive agreement that Epstein originally put into effect.

Federal prosecutors had previously determined that the Epstein agreement was only valid in Florida, so both Epstein and Maxwell opened the door to face charges in New York.

However, Maxwell’s defense team argues that the agreed terms do not include geographical restrictions.
