Glasner welcomes “surprising” eze, but admits that the star has “strange seasons”
Oliver Glasner praised Ebeki Eze after providing the goal and assist in the FA Cup victory at Crystal Palace at Fulham, but the playmaker admitted he had a “strange” season.
Eze concluded a great week when he scored his first senior England goal and scored a sublime strike before setting up Ismaila Saa as Palace ran off a 3-0 winner to advance to the semi-finals.
Eze scored when cut from the left at Craven Cottage, creating a curling effort the manager described as a “amazing finish.”
The 26-year-old then turned the provider and crossed for SARR to double the visitor lead. Alternate Eddie Nketia added a third to the second half at the palace location at the last 4am.

Eze has scored only two times in the Premier League this term, producing six assists. However, Glasner quickly recognized his Starman contribution.
“I think Ebbs (Eze) had a very strange season because there aren’t many goals in the Premier League, but he had so many opportunities,” Glasner said.
“He was very unlucky in a lot of situations, he rejected the goal, deflected the ball, hit the post, everything, everything, but he’s always going on.
“He struggled with some injuries and also had some strange injuries with his legs and something. I think his first goal for England, his goal for Latvia, also meant a lot for him and helped him.
“He’s always confident. We all know he has a great finish and he can cut his right foot. I think he scored on the close post against Latvia. Here he was a great finish at the far post.
“We need this quality. Every team needs this quality, and we’ve helped us today, especially with the finishing touches.
The next palace is back to Premier League Action, travelling to Bottom Club Southampton on Wednesday.
