John Daly has certainly lived an interesting life on and off the course.

He commented on his health about two months after undergoing emergency surgery with his hands. He shared a post from hospital bed in January, adding that the surgery was successful and “returned to playing immediately.”

He returned this month in time for the Hoag Classic on his Champions Tour in California.

“It was a bit cruel, but my hands were about 80%,” he said in the video. via ESPN. Daly revealed that he had undergone 16 surgeries over the past four years due to his intertwined tendons.

With the recent advent of podcasts, Daly also opened up about being diagnosed with bladder cancer.

“It was scary,” he said during his appearance. “Like a farmer’s podcast.”

He underwent surgery and is in remission for four years.

Despite all his health retreat, Daly had a positive message about life for his younger self when looking back at his newcomer photos.

“Hey, a wonderful life.”
