Google’s Gemini will replace most mobile phone assistants completely this year

The blog post specifies that powerful devices that do not meet the minimum specifications for powering Gemini will continue to use Google Assistant “at this time.” This probably comes with phones running Android 9 and earlier, as well as devices with less than 2GB of memory.
Smart home devices such as speakers, displays and Google TV also get “new experiences” powered by Gemini, but Google didn’t provide details on what it would look like. Until then, these devices will continue to work together Google Assistant.
