GOP lawmakers introduce bills aimed at stopping human trafficking of immigrant children

“More than 300,000 companion immigrant children have virtually disappeared under the Biden administration and remained vulnerable to human trafficking, abuse and exploitation. Instead of ensuring safety, these are the following: Children of the group are released without follow-up and fall into the hands of cartels and criminals.,“Luttrell said in a release that announced the suspension of human trafficking under the Unaccompanied Immigrant Children Act of 2024.
Luttrell’s law is fellow R-FLA Sen. Rick Scott and R-Wis in the Senate. The bill introduced by Ron Johnson of the United States and aims to prevent further human trafficking of immigrant children by conducting appropriate reviews for adults sponsoring US children. Includes examinations for parents, immediate relatives, and unrelated adults.

The bill calls for it Department of Homeland Security (DHS) The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will then take steps to examine all adults living in immigrant children’s homes.

The bill aims to introduce multiple steps to prevent child trafficking. Illegally in the US Unless the sponsor is the child’s legal guardian or relative. The bill also requires authorities to complete housing visits before the child is released to sponsors, and requires at least five unpublished home visits in the country in the first year.
The law requires that the release state that it will report to Congress about actions being taken to consider currently missing children.

“HHS needs to implement a thorough review so that these children are placed with responsible adults rather than predators,” Luttrell said. “President Biden’s border policy will fail everyone, and this law will support the Trump administration’s efforts to correct the disasters we have left behind.”
