Boulos has been accused of contributing to violence and gang support in Haiti, saying that Ice will destabilize the country and “may have serious foreign policy consequences for the United States.”
“The State Department has determined that certain individuals with legal permanent resident status in the United States are working with Haitian gang leaders associated with Viv Ansanm, a Haitian foreign terrorist organization,” a release from ICE said. “The United States cannot enable individuals to enjoy the benefits of our country’s legal status while promoting violent organizational actions or supporting criminal terrorist organizations abroad.”
