Hakeem Jeffries evokes Trump while tackling the turmoil at Newark Airport
House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries blamed President Donald Trump He says he “destroyed the FAA” while discussing the recent turmoil at Newar Liberty International Airport.

“Well, that’s certainly what I think we’re all invested in research because it relates to the ability of Americans to travel in an efficient way,” Democrats began before turning their attention to Trump.
“We know that the Trump administration has destroyed the FAA in many ways, and they’ve done this from the start,” he added. “They are defeating the federal government.”

Jeffries added that the Trump administration is “beating the FAA.”
“And we still can’t see if any particular situation at Newark Airport has anything to do with it,” he continued.
“However, it is my hope that the Transport and Infrastructure Committee will investigate this situation and we should get some answers to understand how to change that.”
