Hawaiian Airlines flight from Honolulu to Tokyo declared a state of emergency Monday as a precaution after mobile devices remained in their seats and created an “electric smell” on the plane.

The airline said “Safety is our priority,” adding, “We apologize for the impact that has affected our guests for their inconvenience.”
