HBO hosts stand up to actors in a meeting with Castro and Chavez in a warm exchange

HBO host Bill Maher accused actor Sean Penn of being a hypocrite this week after the actor denounced a meeting with the comedian president Donald Trump.
During the latest episode of Maher’s “Club Random” podcastthe comedian and political commentator called for a meeting with Penn’s world dictator when the actor pointed out that he didn’t go to dinner with Trump like Maher had.
“Really, you meet f–in Castro and Hugo Chavez, aren’t you the President of the United States?” asked Maher.
The disagreement came when he discussed Maher’s meeting with the president in April at the White House. Maher claimed that the meeting with Trump was “graceful and measured,” suggesting that the president is a different person from the one he appears on camera.

Penn met Hugo Chavez, the late President of Venezuela In Caracas, 2007. According to Chavez at the time, he and the actor discussed “Why (we) the Empire attacks Chavez so much?”
The actor also met with the late Communists of Cuba Dictator Fidel Castro A few years ago, just like Raul Castro in 2008.
Maher began by asking if he believed he had the pen. Dinner with Trump It was the right move. The actor said he could see why Maher went to dinner with Trump, but admitted that he recognized that dinner was perceived as “unsuccessful” than the president, or that Maher did not praise Trump’s attitude together in the evening.
Maher disputed that point, saying, “Well, I didn’t stop saying all the things I always said about him, so it wasn’t very successful.

“The only reason I don’t accept the invitation is because I see, I see no – it’s a long flight,” Penn said, struggling to give him an answer.
Maher cut him off halfway through and raised a meeting with Latin American dictators.
Penn defended himself and said there were good things that came out of those meetings.
“Yeah, from the point of view of the agenda I had, I saw some of those things come out of good results… I personally didn’t believe what was said in the room, including personality,” he adds, appearing to suggest that taking Trump to face value was beyond pale.
