High demand for McDonald’s snack wraps causes shortages of lettuce supply in some restaurants


McDonald’s snack wrap debut Earlier this month, lettuce supply was temporarily drained due to unexpected demand.

Less than a week after the snack wrap, the fried chicken strip rolled into the tortilla, went back to the menu and sent notifications to the McDonald’s franchisees, notifying them to add Shredded Lettuce to their McChicken sandwiches to save supplies, according to a company note seen by the Wall Street Journal.

The order sent to the franchisee last week said McDonald’s was merely a temporary issue, but aimed to help places where supplies were shortages.

McDonald said he followed a typical process in terms of predicting and predicting how much supply is needed across the restaurant. However, it did not expect such a surge in pent-up demand.

The company said the shortage of lettuce supply has been resolved and remains stable as of Wednesday. The cessation of other ingredients was also temporary as the ingredients were replenished frequently.

McDonald’s has long been driving the return of snack wraps. In mid-April, the company hinted on social media that it would arrive at 0x.14.2025. Before that, McDonald’s US President Joe Arlinger made plans to renew his snack wrap in 2025 in early December, revealing that he had “cult following,” and “cult following,” “I received so many emails in my inbox about this product” and “cult following.”
