However, Short found a capable partner in Hassan Khan. He provided much needed impulses with 40 runs from just 25 balls, featuring 25 balls and three sixes. Their partnership pulled the unicorns out of trouble and brought them back on track for a respectable total. Romario Shepherd (13 runs) and Hamad Azam (8 runs) added some useful runs at the end.

For the Texas Super Kings, Marcus Stonis was a bowler’s pick, snarling three wickets with 32 runs from his four overs, breaking a key intermediate partnership. Akeal Hosein was economical, picking up one wicket with just 18 runs, but Nandre Burger and Noor Ahmad also admitted to admitting 28 runs each.

Texas Super Kings Chase is in pain
Chasing 149 for victory, the Texas Super Kings got off to a rocky start, losing Smit Patel (8 runs) and Captain Faf du Plessis (1 run) in the power play.

Saiteja Mukkamalla and Marcus Stoinis attempted to rebuild the innings. Mukkamalla played a steady hand with 34 runs from 29 balls, including three balls and one six, while Stoinis contributed 13 runs.
The real momentum of the Super Kings came from Donovan Ferreira, who unleashed a gust of stroke and scored a fast 39. He came close with Shubam Ranjan (28 runs) inspired by his target for Texas. However, the unicorn bowler was holding his nerves with a critical over-death.

Brody Sofa was particularly impressive for the San Francisco Unicorn, picking up two wickets for 26 runs, including an early firing of FAF Duplesis. Romario Shepherd also bagged two wickets with 26 runs and scored a key breakthrough in the innings backend. Hassan Khan chipped in one wicket for 32 runs, while Karima Gore picked up one wicket on 25 runs to maintain excellent control.
