Patricia Clarkson Survived Hollywood.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Clarkson, 65, spoke about her own real-life experiences that her latest film, “Lilly,” brought to her for her.

“I’m not a 25-year-old woman. I’ve lived a lot of things in my life. I’ve survived Hollywood.
Danica McKeller, the star of “Mysterious Year,” is “superficial” to escape Hollywood.
“For me, Lily’s journey was a deep, emotional journey, full of conflict, struggle and ultimately victory, but how I struggled, how I had a career and how I had a career at age 65 is a loss of love.
“I’m not a 25-year-old woman. I’ve gone through so much in my life. I survived Hollywood.”
The film sparked memories of the “struggle” in Clarkson’s life, but she is still proud to be “here” and marks the entertainment industry.
Assuming the role of Lily was a personal choice for Clarkson. She told Fox News Digital that Lilly Ledbetter is the personal hero of her late mother.

“Sadly, my mother passed by and couldn’t see this movie. It’s heartbreaking because she was a great power. She ran through this city (New Orleans) and Lily Ledbetter was one of her heroes. Of course, she raised five daughters. Her mother raised five daughters.
“I’m just an actress. They all have a real career and a real life,” Clarkson said with a laugh.

“Yeah, it grew exponentially. When I first started, the first movie I did was ‘The Touchables’. Even my makeup artist, I was the only woman.

“The industry has grown by jumping and boundaries and women. Finally, now we really don’t have a perfect seat at the table, but we are very, very close. People are beginning to realize that we can make you money. We can make your life better.

Clarkson previously described herself as “a straight, single, southern woman.”
In an interview with Fox News Digital, she explained that her choice to be single started at a young age.

“It’s interesting, and you know, it’s very shocking, but it’s not really the case. I was a fiercely independent child. I knew I wasn’t married very early on.
“I have had amazing men in my life. There are quite a few who just made me a better person, although not all of them. I’m very grateful for some of the amazing guys I’ve dated in my life,” Clarkson said. “A lot of them needed a wife, and I knew I wasn’t.”
Clarkson told Fox News Digital that she “worships” 10 nies and nephews, and that they are giving birth to their own children.

“One of my biggest joys in my life is being their aunt. And now they have these gorgeous kids you can eat with a spoon. That’s enough. I love other people’s kids. But I think I’m the best single.”

Clarkson says there is one man who has forced her to consider getting married, but seeing where he is now, she is sure the relationship will not go well. She didn’t name the man she was referring to.
