Liam Dellup: Chelsea Competition “Hard”
“That’s a really happy feeling,” said the 22-year-old. Delap He spoke to Channel 5 and looked back at his shocking part of the MLS team’s victory after replacing Jackson in the 64th minute at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

“He’ll take time, but it’ll make his confidence a world of good. For (manager) Enzo (Malesca), it’s about how you supply the ball to the forward players.
“The stage of play, having a fullback and centre-back that can build from behind and go through the line is trying to give Cole Palmer a time. He gives him the opportunity to get the ball and be willing to thrive.”

Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel sees the promise in Delap, but 26-year-old Nigerian Talisman Osimen believes the arrival of a supporter’s first-choice attack.
The former midfielder, who won all major domestic trophies and Europa League and Champions League at least once during his time at Stamford Bridge between 2006 and 2017, said:
“He wasn’t the person the fans wanted. The fans wanted Victor Osimhen to come to the football club, but the club decided to go with Delap.
“He’s young, he’ll improve and get better. Hopefully he’ll run to the ground and he’ll calm those doubts.
“From the runs I saw behind the defenders today, that support can be someone who finishes those opportunities.”
Nicholas Jackson “Up the game”
Jackson joined Chelsea on an eight-year contract of over £30.1 million in 2023, scoring 17 goals, his second 13 goals and six assists in all competitions in his first season.
Against LAFC, the 23-year-old skillfully set up a chance saved by Hugo Lloris before playing even better passes to send out a Pedro Neto Clear, with the winger responding with a sparkling run and spin before firing at the opening in the first half.
“Jackson knows someone is breathing his neck,” Wilson said. “It will raise his game and address what he needs to do to work on.”
Mikel believes Senegal International will make some breakaway. “Don’t forget, Nicholas Jackson will be his master,” he insisted.
“He needs to work on his finish. He’ll still be the guy who starts the season. If he’s not scoring, Dellup will have his chance.
“That’s how it works. Healthy competition is very important.”

Chelsea Club World Cup Knockout Stage Pass
Chelsea will be eliminated if they finish outside the top two of the group. Otherwise, they will advance to the final 16 games against the Group C team. Group C teams include Bayern Munich, Auckland City, Boca Junior and Benfica.
That game will take place on Saturday, June 28th and will take place at 9:00 in Charlotte if you runner up in the group or win a section in Miami on Sunday, June 29th.
If they reach the quarterfinals, Chelsea will face a team from Group A-Palmeiras, Al Ally, Porto, or Intermiami, or Group B featuring Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid, Botafogo and the Seattle Sounders.
That game will be played in Saturday, July 5th, at 02:00 in Philadelphia, at 5:00pm if they are runner-up or if they win the group.
Their semi-finals will be held in New Jersey, and will be held simultaneously on Wednesday, July 9 if they are runner-up on Tuesday, July 8th or if they win a group.
The final will also be held in New Jersey on Sunday, July 13th at 8:00pm.
