How Edward “Big Ball” Coristin and Doge were able to access the federal pay system that serves the FBI

Shortly after Kucharski’s initial request, Park emailed Coristine with the subject line “List of Systems”. Coristine then forwarded this request to Kucharski. An hour later, Coristine emailed another SBA employee, including “Access to the Re: Oracle & SQL Server Database.”
This appears to make Coristine have the potential to access a significant amount of confidential personal information. The SBA supports small businesses and entrepreneurs by supporting access to loans, government contracts, business counseling and educational resources. As part of the routine process, current SBA employees asked not to name them because they were not allowed to speak to the media, said, “We collect a lot of data, including Employer Identification Number (EINS), North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Number, and Social Security Number.”
According to an email obtained by Wired, Coristine likely had access to this type of information, as it is granted access to records and systems that include the Capital Access Financial System.
“Each of them doesn’t have a lot of information, but they’re added together, but the entire CAFS system turns the tab and has all the information from loan applications, street addresses, tax IDs, and additional notes from SBA investigations and holds.”
Additionally, sources say that CAFS has citizenship status and non-citizen alien registration numbers, as well as road addresses for the gender of those listed as principals, and non-citizen registration numbers.
While agents sometimes lend staff to each other to share specific projects or specific expertise, Moynihan says that “it’s really rare to run with multiple institutions and access multiple data sets simultaneously,” and that a single or group group is really rare.
“I can’t imagine another example like this,” he says.
The email reveals little about the purpose of Doge’s access to these systems at SBA and NFC, but Moynihan said, “The sensitivity of the data makes me worried about the worst-case scenario.”
