Human smuggler who led the 100-mile border trajectory sentenced to prison
Two South Texas Gang members have been declared Human smugglingfollowing a series of high-speed chases at the border where one of the gang members crashes his car into Rio Grande and swims to escape.
Monday’s Statement US Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) Two human smugglers, Juan Miguel Legalad, 28, and Samuel Grajeda Jr., 21, said they are members of the local Texas gangster, Puro Tango Blast.
The two were sentenced May 15 after being convicted of conspiracy to transport undocumented immigrants following an investigation by ICE, the U.S. Border Patrol Laredo Sector and the Texas Public Safety Agency.
US District Judge John Kazen sentenced Regarado to 66 months, while Grajeda previously received 30 months in prison and six consecutive months. Both must offer a 3-year supervised release.
Both men admitted their involvement in human smuggling conspiracy.

According to an ICE statement, the investigation began on April 20, 2024, when a group of suspected illegal aliens entered the Green Tahoe in the border sector just north of Laredo, Texas.
The statement said Regarado was driving and led law enforcement with a high-speed pursuit, during which “several individuals jumped out of the vehicle.”

Driving up to 100 mph, Regarado crashed Tahoe into the Rio Grande, then ran across the river and continued to escape. Mexico.
Authorities continued to monitor the area for the next few months. In November 2024, another group of illegal aliens entered the Taurus of a white Ford parked in the area. Authorities tracked the vehicle until another vehicle, the black Mercedes, cut them off. Ice said two vehicles were being driven by Grajeda and Regalado.

A traffic stop at Ford Taurus led to another vehicle pursuing Grajeda’s impact on the bystander’s vehicle. Law enforcement eventually discovered an abandoned Ford Taurus in a neighborhood in North Laredo. Authorities found four illegal aliens, Grajeda and Regalado, near the abandoned vehicle.

Both gang members are currently in custody.
“These texts reflect the serious consequences awaiting people who engage in human smuggling and endanger public safety,” said Craig Laraby, a special agent at San Antonio.
Larrabee said “Tango Blast Gang members are at risk of countless lives during these reckless pursuits,” and “continue to commit to dismantling violent criminal organizations and protecting their communities through strong cooperation with federal and state law enforcement partners.”
