Inside, hundreds of previous US citizens have evacuated Iran over the past week, struck three major nuclear sites in Iran on Saturday. State Department Cable, Reuters reported.

Many Americans were able to leave without any problems, but “many” citizens faced “delays and harassment” while trying to leave, but the outlet added citing Cable on Friday. Two citizens are reportedly detained as they are about to leave Iran.

The reported displacement difficulties facing Americans highlight the broader challenges Washington encountered in supporting its citizens within Iran, which have not had diplomatic ties with the United States since the Iranian Revolution in 1979.

The State Department told Fox News Digital that U.S. citizens could be more difficult to leave than those who hold double citizenship in the US and Iran.

The State Department says it has provided guidance to more than 25,000 people in Israel, the West Bank and Iran.

“We remind our citizens not to travel to Iran for any reason due to the risk of terrorismThe State Department said it issued a statement to Fox News Digital on Sunday. “The dual citizens of the United States and Iran must leave Iran with their Iranian passports and prepare to leave Iran from Iranian authority before they leave Iran. The Iranian government does not recognize dual citizenship and will treat the dual citizens of the United States as Iranian citizens alone.”

“If they plan to leave Iran, the department has opened a crisis intake form to hand over information about consular support to Iranian US citizens,” the department added. “For US consular support in Iran, US citizens seeking to leave should utilize existing means of leaving Iran. The crisis intake form and the latest updates from US citizens looking to leave Israel and Iran can be found on the Travel.state.gov banner page.”

State Department spokesman Tammy Bruce said in a press conference Friday that the US prioritizes American security and security, adding that the administration has provided guidance to thousands of people on how to leave Iran and Israel amid rapid escalating tensions between the two countries.

“We do not anticipate providing a direct US government-supported resignation from Iran,” Bruce said. “The State Department provides information and support to more than 25,000 people seeking guidance on the situation in Israel, the West Bank and Iran.”

Americans about to leave Iran were encouraged to use the land route through Azerbaijan, Armenia Or Türkiye Iran’s airspace remains closed, according to a State Department travel warning. The government may be able to support American citizens as they leave the border.

meanwhile. US Ambassador of Israel Mike Huckabee said Thursday that the administration is considering various ways to drive us out of the country.

“We are working to acquire military, commercial, charter flights and cruise ships for the EVAC,” Huckabee said in the X-Post.
