I ordered a Switch 2 from Verizon. It didn’t work

I’ll be back on June 5th Switch 2I wrote it on the release date Belkin’s new accessories For Nintendo’s latest gaming consoles. I realized I haven’t tried the Belkin accessories on my Switch 2 yet. I ordered the console from Verizon, but there was no plans to arrive until the next day.

My Switch 2 did not arrive on June 6th or the next day. Or a week later. Or ever.

It didn’t take genius to understand what happened. Verizon, a company not normally associated with the sale of gaming consoles, has now allowed more people to order the Switch 2 than they have in stock.

I checked in what seemed like apt Reddit thread The title “So I ordered a Switch 2 from Verizon…it’s not here yet” confirmed my suspicions. One of the commenters reported that he spoke to a customer service representative and was informed that not only did the device become a backorder, but there was no word on when the delayed order would be fulfilled. Commenters also found out that Verizon had cultivated Switch 2 sales to third parties, making it even more difficult to cancel orders.

With days gone by weeks and no one heard anything from Verizon, the “Truck Order” page continued to list the Switch 2 as “scheduled to arrive on June 6th.” The person I spoke to was sincere in their efforts to help me and I hoped they would become more clear. But all they could tell me was that the console remained backordered.

Order status was not changed from the date of your order.

The truth is said, I wasn’t eager to buy the Switch 2 in the first place, so I wasn’t too mad at the situation. However, I was a little annoyed that my credit card was charged. Like a few people I know, I ended up ordering the Switch 2 partially. CNET’s Nintendo Switch 2 Stock Tracker And the moment new cargo arrives at the store, it dashes to retailers like Best Buy and retailers like Target.

Just like that, I was on slickdeals.com On the morning of June 5th, we saw a post on Verizon Online about Switch 2 in stock, but it is only available to Verizon customers. I clicked on the link and was a bit shocked to discover that it was actually in stock.

As soon as I placed the order, the buyer regretted it. My invoice went to $500 after tax and an additional $13 for quick shipping, so not much. But if I had lost $500 on this, that’s A better idea than waiting Add $50 to the Switch 2 Plus Mario Kart World Bundle. The Mario Kart World Bundle sold out on Verizon when I ordered the Standalone Switch 2. Nintendo Switch 2 absurdly priced new game.

Perhaps the best deal for Switch 2 now is Costco Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle Additionally, in addition to a 12-month individual Nintendo Online subscription, it comes with an expansion pack for $525, which saves you $25 from your subscription. But you have to be a Costco member to get it – if it is in stock.

But unfortunately, even with that touch, I didn’t cancel the order, but I got my money back for quick shipping. However, when I spoke to a very nice customer service rep with an Australian accent a few days ago, I began to ask a few questions about how difficult it is to cancel an order. She has confirmed that the process is a bit difficult, but she will be happy to cancel it. She will have to “submit a ticket” and it may take 3-5 days for the order to actually be cancelled and the credit card to be credited. I thanked her, but I was planning to refrain from canceling for a few more days.

After hanging up with her I didn’t want to be a jerk about this, but I work for CNET.

As a journalist, what you should do in this situation is reaching out to representatives of the company’s media and letting them know that you’re writing about how you’ve had a rather poor shopping experience with their company. So I did it and explained that I wasn’t too angry about the situation, but I was worried about the lack of communication about the status of the order. Also, judging from some Reddit threads on the topic, others were in the same position. Did Verizon make a comment?

Initially it seemed that Verizon might give me a comment. But that wasn’t the case. But I turned it over Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle It just returned to stock and no one had posted about it. I quickly booted up my computer and returned to the Verizon website. There was certainly stock there. I ordered it because I was seeking punishment. Because the bundle was what I wanted to begin with.

I then called Verizon Customer Service to cancel my first order. Reddit users’ comments have proven accurate. I spent almost 30 minutes on the phone – most of it holding time – waiting for the service representative to jump over all the hoops and cancel the order. At the end of the call, I got my cancellation confirmation number (the “ticket” mentioned above) and was told it would actually take 3-5 days to process.

For the second order, I didn’t add any quick shipping and instead opted for 2 days free shipping. I received an email confirming my order, but when I went to track its status the next day, it indicated that the order had been received but had not yet been shipped. I was sure I had re-entered Doom Loop.

But behold, a few hours later I received an email saying that my order had arrived. The Verizon app has changed the status of your order to Ship. When I got home I found a plain brown box with a quick delivery label on it. The codes for my Switch 2 and Mario Kart World were found inside.

Everything is going well. The Mario Kart World Bundle arrived the day after I ordered it.

If you’re thinking someone I’ve confirmed that the order was prompted me, you probably aren’t wrong. But I don’t lie. What it did and despite the fact that I put more effort into getting it to get more effort than I wanted, there was some satisfaction in receiving it in the end.

I think it’s much better than the original Switch I bought shortly after its release. Or maybe they’re just trying to justify spending $544. At least I can try out those Belkin accessories now.
