My experience with Bluetooth Handsfree 2 backpack

I used Bluetooth Handsfree 2 for a few days to assess how well I connected during glamping. I took it out together on the hiking trail for a few hours and tested it on a few devices and accessories.

At the heart of Bluetti’s backpack power plant is a portable battery unit, boasting a power storage of 512Wh and a maximum output of 700W. The battery fits snugly inside the back compartment of a large 60-liter blue backpack decorated with hoops, straps and buckles. It’s not the most appealing thing, but it works.

The life of a 512WH battery depends entirely on how you use it or the device you are charging it. For example, I was able to fully refill Laptop Battery 6-9 times, a phone Big 18 times Drone Five times. It also allows you to continuously power your 10W LED bulb for more than 40 hours without requiring charging.

From camera gear to blankets and tents, there is plenty of room to hang accessories. The shoulder strap includes a buckle that can be attached to GoPro and other items Action Camera To help you capture your wilderness adventures. The main compartment also has removable partitions that allow you to divide the interior space as you like, or leave it as a single large chamber.

Handsfree 2 has five outputs, all of which can be used at the same time. Devices with standard electrical cords have two USB-C ports (100W each) and two USB-A ports (15W output each) AC output (up to 700W).

There is enough output to power it Mini Fridge Keep my favorite adult drinks icy and cold without access to the ice, circulating my tent on hot desert nights with a full-size box fan.

There is an AC input and a DC/PV input to charge the battery. I connected a standard AC cord and received a full charge in about an hour and 20 minutes. You can also charge it in the car. It took nearly six hours on a 12V charger or over three hours on a 24V charger.

The heading charging option is solar. Handsfree 2 does not come with a solar panel by default, but you can get a 100W or 60W solar panel. As a bundle Alternatively, pick up standalone portable solar panels ranging from 60W to 350W. in 350W levelBluetooth says that it can fully charge the battery in 2 hours, but at the bottom edge, it takes about 6 hours for the 60W panel to fill the battery from the sky.

Weight and durability

The 60-liter backpack may look spacious, but the portable power plant inside takes up a considerable amount of space.

When the battery is loaded, the Hands Free 2 weighs about 16.5 pounds. Adding substantial weight with your own gear can quickly become heavy, especially if you’re carrying a tent, water bottle or other accessories outside the pack. Bluetooth said Hands-Free 2 can support loads of over 66 pounds total, thanks to the reinforced back and bottom panels. If you are planning on doing many hikes, we recommend limiting the weight of other gear you load into your Bluetooth.

The battery pack itself is a solid, gunmetal grey, dark brick, weighing about 15 pounds. It’s not exactly lightweight, but lighter than other power solutions that approach 512WH capacity. The way it fits in your backpack is well balanced to carry relatively easily (at least for short distances).

Although it is not completely waterproof, Hands Free 2 is water resistant. It includes several features to keep your gear (and battery) safe from the rain, such as a waterproof zipper and rain cover, and the backpack is made of splash resistant fabric.
