“I’m not thinking about him…”: Ajinkya Rahane’s Venkatesh Iyer’s remarks about price tag IPL 2025

Known for his calm and gentle behavior, Rahane issued a statement at a post-match meeting following a 110-run defeat crushed by the hands of the Sunrise Hyderabad (SRH) on sunday. Iyer is the third most expensive player of the season, priced at $23.75 trillion.

When asked if the expensive price tag could have affected the player’s performance, Rahane won Ier’s side. He emphasized that players’ attitudes towards the field remain consistent regardless of price. He noted that the key elements focus on controllable aspects of the game. Rahane expressed confidence that Ayer will remain in his focus throughout the season.
“If someone is getting 20 or more crawls, or if someone is not able to work that hard when they get a 1, 2, 3 trillion, then someone won’t work double and hard. Your attitude doesn’t change on the field. As a player, you’re just focusing on your things and I was focusing on what Venkatesha could actually control. Rahane said.
The KKR skipper also said that all players can go through the rough patch and could happen to anyone. He doesn’t think it was about the price tag, or even Iyer was thinking the same thing. But it’s just one of those seasons.
“Well, it’s one of those seasons that can happen to any player. I think it’s from the seasons that we had to o-thru, not the price they were thinking.” He added.
