iOS 18.5 tweaks email options
Check the “View Contact Photos” option to streamline your inbox.
Apple has introduced several small email app updates to the iOS 18.5 beta. One of these updates allows you to easily adjust your app settings by displaying or hiding contact photos in email. The contact photos are images to the left of the email and help you identify who sent those emails.
By default, emails will display a contact poster, but you can turn it off from within the app using iOS 18.5 beta. To do so, open it Postal servicetap on three dots (…)Tap and top right corner of the screen View contact photos. Now all emails will simply show a subject and message preview, just like what emails look like before iOS 18.
This option is available in iOS 18.4, but is buried in setting And it’s not easy to find.
Another update is about categories. If mode is enabled, a small tab will now appear on the right side of the screen near other categories. Swipe through the category bar near the top of the left email and this little tab expands to display categories All Emails.
This category is not new and can be found on iOS 18.4. However, there were no small tabs on the right side of the screen. therefore, All Emails Flying under the radar – I didn’t even know that the options were there until this beta.
This category appears to be a way to enable category and list views at the same time – pre-category email views. By tapping All Emailsdisplays messages that are not classified for free, such as in the list view.

Is there anything else in the beta version?
It’s not that I can know, and I’m not surprised. Apple’s Global Developer Conference It’s set to happen in June, so iOS 18.5 is likely to remain sparse in features, allowing Apple to focus on iOS 19.
However, there is likely to be more beta versions before iOS 18.5 is released to the public, so there is plenty of time for Apple to change or add these features. Apple has not announced when it will generally release iOS 18.5.
