Israel says an elderly Gaza hostage was killed in the attack on October 7th

Israeli forces have said an elderly Israeli man was killed during the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, and his body was taken hostage in Gaza.
Iraqi native Shlomo Mansour (86 years old) was accused of gunman at his home in Kibbutz Kisfim. His wife, Mazal, manages to escape.

On Tuesday, Israeli forces said they told the Mansoors that he was later killed by gunmen and that they had taken his body back to Gaza.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he and his wife Sarah expressed sincere distress to their families following the “bitter news.”
“We will not be resting or silent until we are returned for Israeli burial,” he added.
“We will continue to act in a set and relentless manner until we return all of the hostages: our lives and our deceased.”
