Israeli soldiers have been jailed for abuse of Palestinian detainees from Gaza
The SDE Teiman detention facility was established 15 months ago after the start of the Gaza War. Since then, it has been at the heart of reports of serious abuse.

The Israeli government has rejected accusations of widespread abuse and torture of detainees, claiming it is “fully committed to international legal standards.” He also said that all complaints were thoroughly investigated.
Israeli forces launched a campaign on October 7, 2023 to destroy Hamas in response to an unprecedented cross-border attack. Around 1,200 people were killed there and 251 were taken hostages.
Since then, more than 47,550 people have been killed in Gaza.
According to Hamoked, 1,802 Palestinians in Gaza are currently being detained as “illegal combatants” in Israeli prisons. This number does not include detainees who are held by the military.
