It’ll be a meme: Justin Timberlake’s iconic May Joke turns 25
Quick, what month will it be? It’ll be May. And it’s time for a particular *nsync song to become a meme you can’t get away with.
It’s Thand Bee Me is a hit song released in 2000 by Boy Band *nsync. In it, singer Justin Timberlake doesn’t actually sing “It’ll be May,” instead “It’ll be me,” but his Tennessee accent and the spin he places on that word sound like he’s welcoming for the fifth month of the year.
So every year on April 30th, the day just before May, *nSync videos get spikes in YouTube views and memes start flying. Even then President Barack Obama in 2014 I made a joke on Facebookshare photos of yourself and Timberlake.

Timberlake himself jokes. The last day of April 2020 He tweeted a photo of his co-masked self “It’s going to be May,” captioned.
