Jalil Hackett suffers from freak injuries

Jalil Hackett (9-1, 7 KOS) was scheduled to revenge his December defeat at Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, March 15th at Jose Roman (14-1, 6 KOs). At yesterday’s press conference he looked ready and was ready for an epic performance.

They say they will either announce the new WBA Continental North America Welterweight Champion or translate it into “and new,” as they say in Puerto Rico. He has a warrior mentality. There, you will fight hard to prove your worth, defeat tough enemies, and show your greatness. He doesn’t believe in making your resume with soft enemies. He wanted nothing but to revenge his losses and continue his path.

However, after the press conference he suffered from what could be described as an extraordinary accident. He slipped and injured his right leg when he came out of the sauna. “I was coming out of the sauna. I know the sauna had acquired two levels, so I got off one of the levels and lost the sh*t of my foot type. Instead of landing flat on my foot, I landed on the ball at my ankle. My sh*t quickly swelled,” Jalil said when asked about the injury.

He was visibly upset and disappointed that he couldn’t compete this Saturday. He said he plans to remake a rematch with Jose Roman this summer. Many fans are looking forward to the rematch, and demand for it remains high. By fully recovering, Jalil can help his promise and revenge his losses. Roman was awarded a split’s deciding victory in the match in December, with two judges winning 96-94 for Rome, with third Hackett 96-94. Hackett seemed to control the early rounds by targeting his body, but appeared to be slower in the middle to late rounds.

Jalil sought this fight despite being offered other fights. “I didn’t need to do this fight. Matchroom didn’t offer this fight first. They offered other fights first. My team didn’t want this fight. I said I wanted this fight because this is the guy I lost. This was something I was worried about and more than ready. This is one of my better camps I had. This is just a heartbreaker.”
